Bio


Cheryl D. Duffin is passionate about performing for children, especially to promote the joy of reading! Most importantly, she brings over 25 years of professional acting and playwriting experience to every performance.

An award winning, published playwright, Cheryl’s original plays are an educational, theatrical delight; inventive and interactive at every turn! She has been listed in the Houston Public Library’s guide to recommended performers for over 7 years, and has traveled across Texas for over 12 years, performing at childcare facilities, libraries, community centers and children’s museums, including a 3 year stint with Express Children's Theatre.

Cheryl attended the University of St. Thomas where she studied acting and playwriting. She spent 6 years working in professional theatre in Chicago where she was a company member at Footsteps Theatre, as well as the Director of Women's Writes.  For the last eleven years, Cheryl has run the theatre program at the Esperanza Summer Camp in the Houston Heights.
